The 2011-2012 edition of  Practitioners' Voices in Classical Reception  will focus on receptions of classical antiquity in contemporary visual and material culture. We invite contributions from artists whose work engages with any aspect of the Greco-Roman past: this might include, for example, new visualisations of ancient mythical narratives, works inspired by the forms of classical painting or sculpture, or performance art which explicitly responds to ancient sites or monuments. As with previous volumes of the journal, practitioners will be invited to discuss their work in an interview with the editor, although self-authored pieces are also welcome.
