Testing

Testing in Psychology, whether it be head size or IQ, has been around since the beginning. Psychologists have historically tested all sorts of attributes, traits, personalities, body parts, attitudes etc. Testing practises have at time been ethically questionable and have been included in the good, the bad and the ugly sides of Psychology. Testing has been at the centre of several racist, homophobic and sexist Psychological studies but is also central to diagnosis of difficult mental illnesses and has allowed people to receive the help they need.
