Biography

Malik was born in Lustenau Vorarlberg, Austria, and studied the foundations of management at Innsbruck and St Gallen. Following the completion of his doctoral degree, he continued his academic commitments at St Gallen before returning to Innsbruck. 

Malik applies systems theory and cybernetics to analyse and design management systems. In Germany he is bracketed as an influential management thinker with Drucker and Simon.

His book Managing, Performing, Living (2006), which was first published in German in 2000, is influenced by the writings of Drucker.
