Click on a shape to add it to the drawing area where it can be dragged around with your mouse, or finger for touch devices. Use the toolbar buttons or the keyboard to rotate and resize etc.
Tab to a shape in the right hand panel and press enter to add it to the drawing area. The added shape is automatically selected and you can immediately use the following keyboard shortcuts. If you tab to a 'greyed out' shape in the right panel, one that has already been added to the drawing area, you can select that shape by pressing the enter key.
The following is a list of the assigned keys to perform actions on the selected shape. Even when a mouse is available it can be really useful to use some of these shortcut keys.
W, A, S, D - Move a shape up, left, down and right
U, H - Increase and decrease size
I, J - Promote or demote a shape to be visually on top or below other shapes
O, K - Rotate
X - Delete
G - Show or hide the grid
For the best experience please use a browser on a desktop computer. However, a touch device can be used to good effect to practice your design.
This feature will work in all modern desktop browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Edge). If you are using an old browser please update to the latest version of a modern browser in order to save your design. Alternatively, you may prefer to take a screen-shot of your design.
Whilst you can use a tablet to practice creating your design, when you come to saving an image you will need to use a modern desktop browser or take a screen-shot on your tablet.
